Classes

Children are taught in small groups, typically 5 or 6 for beginners, reducing to 2 or 3 for more advanced pupils. Individual timetables are drawn up by the Musical Director, taking into consideration each child's age, ability and musical needs. Group tuition not only keeps down class charges, but also increases pupils' motivation.

Ensembles

Pupils are encouraged to join an ensemble when they have reached an appropriate standard. The QYMC Orchestra and Singing Group also rehearse each Saturday. Ensembles are also open to children who have their instrumental lessons elsewhere. For details of ensembles currently available please click here.
