Questors Young Musicians Club

Terms & Conditions

Questors Young Musicians Club (QYMC) is a not-for-profit club which provides instrumental tuition to young people (members). In order to operate successfully, it is necessary for a parent/carer to agree to the terms and conditions detailed below and sign accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE THAT QYMC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TAKE ANY ACTION IT DEEMS NECESSARY FOR ANY BREACH OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

1. Parents/Carers will be invoiced termly in advance for instrumental lessons and/or ensembles. These fees must be paid by the beginning of term.
2. If for any reason a member of QYMC wishes to stop having lessons then the parent/carer must give notice by the end of the term in writing. A phone message will not be accepted as notice. Failure to give such notice will result in the parent/carer being invoiced for a half term's fees.
3. If a parent/carer arranges lessons over the phone or via the internet/email, they must accept that a contract with QYMC has been entered into and that these terms and conditions are binding, whether or not they have been signed. If the member then fails to attend, a cancellation fee of a half term's fees will be payable to QYMC.
4. A parent/carer or responsible person over 18 years of age must remain on site whilst any member 10 years of age and under is participating in QYMC activities.
5. Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring that members are collected punctually from their lessons and that they supervise their children at all other times. This is particularly important in the café, where parents/carers must ensure that all purchases are paid for, and in the playground.

Under no circumstances whatsoever will QYMC be responsible for the care and supervision of members outside of their lessons.

6. Parents/carers agree to support and encourage the member in practising their instrument/s, participating in appropriate ensembles/orchestra, and, when necessary, buying any music and paying any exam fees.
7. Failure to sign these terms and conditions may result in the member being withdrawn from lessons.
8. QYMC reserves the right to take photographs and/or recordings of the members and to print, publish or release these photographs and/or recordings as QYMC sees fit. Members or their parents/carers agree to such photographs and/or recordings being made and published and/or used by QYMC at QYMC's discretion.
